Who we are

Nexplexity ("we", "us") operates nexplexity.co.uk and is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@nexplexity.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

Contact form. Your name, email address and message, so we can respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us.

Newsletter. Your email address, to send you the newsletter you asked for. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe option, and we will remove your address promptly.

Free website audit (the Clarity Report). The website address you submit and your email address. We fetch and analyse the publicly available content of that website, store the resulting report alongside your email so we can send it to you, and may follow up with you about the findings. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing the audit you requested and in offering relevant help based on its results.

Security. IP addresses are processed transiently to rate-limit forms and prevent abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for their marketing. We use a small number of service providers to run this site:

  • Anthropic processes the publicly available content of websites submitted to the free audit, so our AI analyst can review them. Your email address is not sent to Anthropic.
  • Our email delivery provider processes email addresses in order to send audit reports, enquiry replies and the newsletter.
  • Our hosting provider stores the site and its database.

These providers act on our instructions and cannot use your data for their own purposes.

Cookies

This site sets a small number of cookies. Essential ones cannot be switched off because the site does not work without them:

  • csrftoken — protects forms against forgery (essential).
  • sessionid — keeps you signed in if you have an account with us (essential).
  • nx_consent — remembers your cookie choices for 180 days (essential).

Analytics cookies are only ever set if you consent to them through the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time using "Cookie preferences" in the footer of every page. We do not load third-party tracking or advertising scripts, and all fonts and assets are served from our own domain. The one exception is the map on our contact page: it loads from Google only if you press the button to load it, at which point Google may set its own cookies.

How long we keep it

Contact enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after your last message so we have context if you come back to us. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Audit reports and the email they were sent to are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict our processing of it. Email hello@nexplexity.co.uk and we will action your request within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
